Stewardship & Administration Commission The mission of the Stewardship and Administration Commission is to continually raise the awareness of parishioners regarding the concepts of stewardship.
What is Stewardship? - Stewardship is acknowledging that all we have and all we are comes from God. - Stewardship is an acknowledgment of God's kingship over us. Christian stewards, Jesus' disciples, recognize God as the origin of life, giver of freedom, and the source of all things. We look to the life and teaching of Jesus for guidance in living as Christian stewards. - Stewardship had the power to shape and mold our understanding of our lives and the way in which we live.
The following committees are part of this Commission: - Finance Council acts as a consultative group to the pastor regarding budgeting and the use of parish finances. The council meets once each month with Fr. Mark to review the prior months transactions and to discuss any future our outstanding issues that may impact the parishes financial well-being. - Facilities and Maintenance Committee oversees the maintenance of all the buildings and the upkeep of the grounds. The committee gathers each month to discuss the condition of the buildings and grounds and plans all work and projects that will be occurring on the parish properties. Our major project currently underway is the complete tear-off and reshingling of our church. The current shingles were from the original roof put on when the church was built. Tuckpointing of the brickwork is also being coordinated at the same time to correct and eliminate seepage that would otherwise undermine the integrity of the new roof. - Administration oversees the day-to-day activities of the parish.
