    Connections Campaign

This is the last letter that was sent out to parishioners that generously donated toward the Connections Campaign.  We are still accepting donations toward our renovation project.  If you are interested in donating money to our project or have any questions please contact the parish office.

Dear Fellow Parishioner,

Your thoughtful Gift has made it possible for us to get very close to the 2 MILLION cash dollar point during our “Connections Campaign”. It’s hard to believe that it has been 5 years since the planning and pledge campaign began. Our renovation and expansion program carried on because of people like you. As the campaign winds down, many people have asked for a short statement, without the complete history of payments as always sent. Attached is yours. (of course, it is less paper but if you ever need another statement with all transactions, the office will be happy to provide it) If you have any questions about your balance, or, other ways you can help, please do not hesitate to call the pledge committee through the parish office. Those of you who have completed your pledge – Thank You. And those of you who no longer live here or are members elsewhere, please know that the project carries on. The dedication to this project is amazing and has carried on the St. Matthias heritage of stewardship. You will be updated as the project adjusts and unfolds. As you know, the original plan was very well planned assessment of our needs by many members of the church, committees and the staff. The drawing itself was a conceptual plan designed to cover those needs. A reassessment of the plan 5 years later is the next responsible step. As your pledge finance committee wraps up the pledge and payment portion of the campaign in the next couple of months and comes to the total amount we currently have, the original concept drawing will be reviewed for a permanent drawing. Consideration of our every day operating budget will also be included in a responsible look at the project. The project will be reviewed without cheapening, possibly reduced without letting go of the original needs assessment, and you will know exactly how this will be done. This re-assessment may include extending the campaign as well. Several parishioners are very experienced in project and building needs, and can help our faith community get through the final drawings and bid process. The goal is to be debt free from the project. I am eager to get started, and do not want to lose site of the educational and renovation goals that started this project.

In Christ,
 Fr. Mark Pavlina
